About the Last Supper
Last Supper History
The Last Supper is the final meal that, according to Christian belief, Jesus shared with His Apostles in Jerusalem before his crucifixion.
The Last Supper provides the scriptural basis for the Eucharist. During the meal, Jesus predicted that one of his Apostles would betray him.
According to the Canonical Gospels, after the Last Supper, Jesus and his disciples went to Gethsemane Garden on the Mount of Olives. Once there Jesus left the group and went to pray privately.

Jesus asked God for his burden to be taken from him, and requested not to undergo the events that he was due to go through, but gave the final choice to God.
Jesus went back to his apostles and saw they had fallen asleep. At this point Judas appeared on the scene, accompanied by a crowd of Roman soldiers and Jewish priests.
Judas kissed Jesus, as a pre-arranged sign to those that had accompanied him to point out Jesus. Having been identified, the crowd arrests Jesus.
