Styles for Sale

Papier Mache Butterflies
Being a representation of the real insects, these colorful and diverse papier mache butterflies, for sale exclusively at Copal Online Store, are handmade and hand painted by a Mayan family in Izamal, a small village located in Yucatan State.

These decorative butterflies add color and life to any wall where, thanks to an ingenious hanging device, they lie unattached to the surface creating a "standing" impression.

Thanks to our association with a Mayan weavers cooperative we can offer you authentic Mayan hammocks available on cotton or nylon threads, three different sizes and a wide range of colors at a remarkably low price.

Mexican Paper Flowers
Our artisanal paper flowers are handmade by our long time friend Eduardo Dieguez Jasso from La Paz, Baja California Sur.

We feature paper sunflowers, paper cempasuchil (also known as "flower of the dead"), paper roses and paper dahlias. You may also arrange your own assorted paper flowers bunch.

Mario Moreno's Alambroide Sculptures
It is an honor for us to represent Mario Moreno Contreras, the son of renowned artist Saulo Moreno, who has been fortunate enough to inherit not only his father's talent, but also his unique technique.

Mario's skillful alambroide sculptures successfully portray the Day of the Dead Art essence, making these whimsical skeletons and skulls "come to life".

Cristino Flores' Amate Drawings
We were extremely fortunate to have met Cristino Flores Medina a pioneer in the Nahuatl Painting, one of the most beautiful folk painting styles in Mexico. For more than 10 years, Cristino visited our store bringing with him his amazing artwork.

He passed away in 2007 leaving behind an invaluable heritage. On his drawings, Cristino portrayed his people traditions and how they see themselves and our nation's history and culture.
